We totally get it. You're busy. Just because you work from home three days a week doesn't mean you always have time to make a delicate Ethiopian espresso. Sometimes you only have time to pop a capsule in the machine before your next Zoom meeting.
So we listened and developed our popular Allegro, Arabica GOLD and FORTE blends into coffee capsules. But what are capsules? And how do they make coffee?
Coffee capsules or filter pods are an easy and quick way to have a cup of coffee. They are individually packaged doses of coffee for preparing one drink. They are filled with carefully selected and ground coffee beans, sealed in a modified environment, without oxygen in it, to protect the ground coffee from oxidation. Designed for compatibility with specific types of coffee machines, from the high-end Nespresso system coffee machines to the most common in Bulgaria Dolce Gusto standard coffee machines, to the ESE or Easy Serving Espresso standard filter pod machines. Currently, REMACAFFE produces and offers its customers capsules and pods for all three standards of machines.
The mechanics of coffee capsules are a brilliant combination of simplicity and precision. When a capsule is placed in a compatible coffee machine, such as a Nespresso system, the machine pierces the front and back of the capsule. Hot water is then forced through the capsule under pressure. This coffee extraction process allows the water to absorb the rich flavor profiles and aromas of the ground coffee in the capsule. The water, infused with the coffee extract and its aromas, flows through the capsule and into your cup.
Each capsule is enough for one cup, but if you're looking for a stronger, richer drink, then you can always double up and use two espresso capsules.
In a moment you will enjoy a drink of consistent taste and quality, all from a conveniently packaged coffee capsule. Coffee capsules offer much of the speed and convenience of instant coffee in a much tastier drink like from a professional espresso machine. This process beautifully illustrates the innovations achieved in the name of convenience and taste for coffee lovers around the world.
Their convenience, variety and exceptional consistency of taste have led to an explosion of Nespresso compatible capsules, a testament to their popularity among coffee lovers. You take your favorite coffee capsule, place it in your Nespresso machine, press a button and your day begins with the aroma and taste of freshly roasted coffee in its finest form.
Capsules come in different types and formats. The market is full of brands offering plastic and compostable capsules, which are the eco-friendly option made from plant-based materials, but they also have their drawbacks. Soft filter pods, reminiscent of large tea bags filled with ground coffee, are also an excellent choice for environmentally conscious people. I would even dare to say that they are the most eco-friendly option of individually packaged coffee. For an ideal drink from a filter pod, a specialized coffee maker should be used. It is also possible to use them with a classic espresso machine with a handle, but a special attachment or crema nozzle is required, which is often supplied with some machines.
Home compostable capsules are popular for their easy disposal, but they don't protect coffee from aging like aluminum does.
Aluminum coffee capsules are at the top of this Nespresso compatible capsule list. These hard capsules hold 6-7 grams of coffee and produce a good espresso-style drink in no time. The aluminum seals the freshly ground coffee and allows for high pressure during the extraction process.
Aluminum coffee capsules offer several unique advantages. On the one hand, aluminum is 100% recyclable, which is in line with our commitment to sustainability in the specialty coffee industry. Even more interestingly, the recyclability of this aluminum is eternal, as the material retains its properties no matter how many times it is recycled, meaning that these capsules are actually one of the most environmentally friendly options for single-dose coffee.
Aluminum provides the best protection against oxygen, light and moisture. This preserves the freshness of the coffee inside, ensuring that each extraction will deliver the full flavor profile and aroma intended by the coffee maker.
Our goal is for the quality of our coffee to be as high as any other coffee we sell. Once we have sourced and roasted our specialty coffee, we need to make sure it reaches your capsule machine in the best condition. Aluminum is definitely the best option.
